We just rounded off the last of the girls 6th birthday cake tonight. It tasted divine and the attention to detail was exquisite. The icing on the base, the little yellow lettering, the ribbon wrapped around the edges, the 100's and 1000's underneath all the sweets. No fewer then 10 parents commented that it was the BEST cake they'd ever seen (no exaggeration) and i have to agree. It was a joy to behold and very uplifting.
We displayed the cake from the beginning of the party so the children could all come and pore over it long before it was served. They were mesmerised, and there were more than a couple of quick, furtive steals of the odd chewy sweet! It has given us untold pleasure and will be talked about for many years to come in hallowed tones!
