1st Birthday – The biggest party of the year
The last week I have had 2 bookings for 1st Birthdays.
1st Birthday’s seem to be the next biggest party as opposed to a wedding. I think it’s great to see families coming together and organising a huge event to mark the 1st birthday of their children. Why not celebrate your 1st Birthday in style and go all out? Afterall it is your 1st and although you would be slightly too young to remember it, it is the thought that went into the party to make it extra special that counts.

Saturday 20th April at the Havali Banqueting Suite in Slough. The party was organised for a baby girls 1st Birthday. PINK was the theme and PINK it was.
100 cupcakes on a 7 tier stand with a giant cupcake on top as the cutting cake. The suite was decorated beautifully to fit in with the pink theme with balloons everywhere. The balloon arch with the child’s name and the cake and cupcakes was the centre of attention, placed right in the middle of the dance floor.
I got great feedback from the family, the cupcakes were perfect and went down a treat. I got told everyone went mad for the cupcakes that they didn’t even get one themselves but managed to grab the giant cupcake to take home. You can’t ask for much more then that really 🙂
Sunday 21st April I was booked to attend a 1st Birthday party at the Wardoff Hilton Hotel in Aldwych and hold a cupcake decorating class for 50 children. The theme of this party was ‘CIRCUS’
When I arrived at the hotel I went inside just to meet with the organiser and see where I was to set up. I had a 2 hour time slot so the party had already start a couple of hours before. Never in my life have I seen a party like this!!! I was shell shocked! There was popcorn, candyfloss, face painting, circus games, entertainers, stilt walkers, a photo booth and the whole room was decorated to perfection keeping it all circus! This is one of the best parties I have ever seen.
The cupcake decorating went down a massive treat for all the children, they all loved it. The children were so creative and we had some fabulous cupcake designs, even the adults joined in. The children could take home their cupcakes as they were given individual boxes. I had a great time interacting with the children, helping them create some little masterpieces. Overall a great afternoon.
