Cake of the Week MCM Backpack Bag Cake
This weeks cake of the week is…
A friend wanted a birthday cake which represented her brother. He LOVES this bag and has 2 for himself. I was sent a picture of the bag to replicate and here we are with the result.
The base of the cake is a victoria sponge and was decorated entirely by hand. The diamond shapes I used sugarcraft cutters and the zip I used a mould on. The zip tag was cut by hand and the lettering I used letter cutters. The most challenging part of the cake was the logo. The logo was drawn onto the cake freehand using an edible black pen.
Overall I am very pleased with the cake and the feedback I received was fantastic. The birthday boy loved the cake so much that he didn’t want to cut it.
