I was set a challenge, the cafe I supply (Betty Blythe) wanted to order a giant cupcake large enough to feed 40 people for a special party they were holding at their residence.

I have never made a GIANT giant cupcake, so I set myself the challenge. The theme was Midsummer Nights Dream, pastel colours with lots of flowers and butterflies. The cake was made up of 5 layers of stacked victoria sponge with a jam and buttercream filling and was hand cut into a huge cupcake shape. All the decorations were hand made with moulds and cutters along with the hand crafted little mushrooms. Lots of glitter and shimmer and here we are….

The mini cupcakes were also part of the order and had a matching decoration to compliment the cake. I was extremely please with how the cake turned out and even more stunned at the response and comments since posting pictures on my instagram and Facebook page.
